CTP Recertification Toolbox
Recertification Cycle
CTP Certification is valid for three years. A CTP must earn a total of 36 CTP continuing education credits within a three-year recertification cycle to maintain the CTP credential.
All certification cycles begin July 1 of the testing year. Credential holders who passed the exam in June of 2021 (2021A window) and January of 2022 (2021B window) will all have a cycle start date of July 1, 2021, and will be due to recertify June 30, 2024
Reporting Credits
Credential holders have two options for reporting credits earned.
The first and preferred option is the Certification Resource Center
The second option is to submit the Recertification Reporting Form
Recertification Fees
The recertification fee is based on the status of your AFP membership. The standard rate for the recertification fee is:
AFP Member - $160 ($135 online reporting) Standard rate
Non-member - $275 ($250 online reporting) Standard rate
There is a $50 discount off the standard rate for recertifying early. The discount is already applied to the early rate ($85.00 member/$200 non-member). There is no discount code.
Early deadline ends on August 15
Final deadline ends on October 15
Continuing Education Categories
Continuing education activities related to topics found in the current edition of the CTP Body of Knowledge, Essentials of Treasury Management, (e.g., treasury/cash management, finance, accounting, ethics, economics) are eligible for recertification credits.
