Carolyn Sweeney, Director of Global Business Development for Chargebacks911, discusses how Europe initially saw a surge in chargebacks after the implementation of EMV chip cards and terminals. Since that time, the majority of chargebacks have shifted from fraud-related issues to customer experiences issues. Sweeney also discusses how the eventual removal of the permanent account number (PAN) from cards is unlikely to have a major impact for merchants and consumers.
