What it is:
 Content coma is the dazed state of the audience when a presenter does not make the information relevant and meaningful.

Why it matters: Finance needs to present meaning along with its insight.

Trend Spotting: “The challenge if you are a financial person and it is all about the numbers... If you do numbers followed by numbers followed by the next person. Pies, charts and graphs. Eventually the bullet points, the numbers, the text on a PowerPoint slide… will put people into a content coma. The brain starts to get numb. The reason you tell a story is to create the context for the content that is to follow” to engage the audience. -- Doug Stevenson, speaking to AFP Conversations podcast.
