Accounts Payable, Receivable: Your Opinions Are Requested

Do you work in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable? If so, the Accredited Standards Committee X9 wants to hear from you.

X9 is conducting a survey to gauge accounts payable and accounts receivable business practitioners’ views on ways to improve the handling of debit balances in the U.S. retail industry. A debit balance typically occurs when a supplier owes a retailer for goods returned. X9 said that practitioners’ feedback will help shape a new standard defining best practices, terminology, and procedures for more efficient handling of debit balances.

Practitioners can submit survey responses until Feb. 6. X9 develops, establishes, maintains and promotes open standards for the U.S. financial services industry in order to facilitate delivery of financial services and products.

Interested practitioners can access the survey here.
