AFP Seeks Board of Directors Candidates
AFP is now accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Board of Directors, the strategic governing body of the organization, beginning in November 2018.
Board Directors serve two-year terms and those holding the CTP or FP&A certification are encourage to apply. While all Board members volunteer their time, talent and energy, the current and past members will attest to the fact that their personal and professional rewards are substantial.
We are looking for the best of the best and ask you to consider applying or encourage your qualified corporate practitioners to apply. There are generally two to four new Board positions available.
In addition to being an AFP Member the requirements needed to apply include:
- Biographical sketch containing relevant volunteer experience, especially experience serving on AFP committees, task forces or regional association boards
- Resume, including a brief overview of current responsibilities
- Letter of recommendation from an immediate supervisor, as well as information on the candidate's employer, such as an annual report
