Frequently Asked Questions
What type of information can I find in the Research Reports area?
AFP's Research department conducts research studies throughout the year covering a variety of treasury and finance topics. All reports include a full description of the methodology and a summary of the findings.
Who may access these reports and surveys?
Most detailed research is available only to AFP members and requires a username and password for access. Certain executive summaries and reports are available to AFPonline registered users, and public policy research is often available to public users. You may become an AFP member to gain access to the full complement of AFP research, or become an AFPonline registered user for access to a subset of this research.
Do I need any special software to view the full-text surveys and reports?
Research reports are presented in HTML and PDF formats. HTML documents do not require special software. All PDF documents require Adobe® Acrobat® for viewing. If you do not have a copy of Adobe® Acrobat®, contact your systems administrator. Or, if able to do so, you may download a free copy of Adobe® Acrobat® Reader from the Adobe® Web site.
I noticed that the Compensation Survey is also sold in the publications area. Is it the same survey that is available in the Research Reports area?
The Compensation Survey is produced annually as both a stand-alone publication available for sale and an abridged AFP Exchange article. The Research Reports version is taken from the AFP Exchange. You may purchase the complete Compensation Survey using in the AFP Web Store.
