Letter from the Chairman, AFP of Canada

To AFP of Canada members and treasury and finance professionals:

I am writing to invite you to an important event that AFP of Canada is launching, the inaugural AFP of Canada Treasury Management Forum, to be held in June 2010 in Toronto. The event will expand upon the AFP of Canada Treasurers Forum, which has been held for the past two years, to include content for both executive and professional level participants in one convenient setting.

In these economic times, AFP is keenly aware of the impact that the global recession has had on many organizations. Therefore, as a courtesy to all treasury professionals in Canada, we are pleased to extend the member rate to all forum attendees on a one-time basis, whether or not they are members of AFP of Canada.

Building on the success of the Society of Canadian Treasurers, there will be an SCT Institute within the forum to allow treasurers, CFOs and other senior-level finance executives to meet face-to-face with colleagues to share ideas, discuss challenges and find solutions in a candid and confidential environment.

The forum will be designed to meet the education and training needs of the professional level and cover best practices in treasury management.

We welcome all treasury and finance professionals in Canada to participate in AFP's best-in-class education and training through the AFP of Canada Treasury Management Forum. More information will be published  on www.afponline.ca as it becomes available.
