Calling cybersecurity one of the most serious national and economic challenges the nation faces, President Obama Friday released the cybersecurity policy review that he ordered shortly after taking office and said he would soon appoint a cyber czar to oversee its implementation. “Cyberspace is real, and so is the risk that comes with it,” he said.
President Obama’s policy paper called for a five-point strategy to address cybersecurity. The review calls for better education efforts to promote cybersecurity, and government collaborating with the business community and foreign governments.
On the issue of supply chain security, the review called on “the application of best practices” from the business to ensure its safety.
