Prestigious Awards Recognize Top Officials in Treasury and Corporate Finance
The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) recently announced the AFP Honors – a compilation of some of the most senior-ranking professionals in the fields of treasury and corporate finance. Sponsored by PNC, the award signifies the best of the best in the field.
The criteria for choosing the recipients, who were selected from a pool of more than 100,000 corporate financial practitioners, consist of a rigorous review of their professional qualifications, AFP membership and job title. In addition, all practitioners were required to have earned the Certified Treasury Professional/Certified Cash Manager designation, as proof of industry knowledge. The AFP Honors recipients were chosen from a range of corporations, agencies, government, academia and nonprofits.
“These individuals really strive to be the best in their profession and it is our honor to recognize their achievements,” said Jim Kaitz, president and CEO of AFP. “They are exemplary for setting a high standard of excellence for the profession.”
PNC, a financial services company with a commitment to recognizing excellence in finance and treasury, sponsored the highly acclaimed AFP Honors for 2007. In its fourth year, the program (formerly AFP 300) has continued to grow, particularly at the senior level, making the selection process even more rigorous than in years past. This significant industry recognition distinguishes a select group of corporate practitioners at the top of their profession.
"Celebrating achievement is a fundamental part of the PNC culture. We look forward to extending this celebration of success and leadership across the broad spectrum of financial professionals-in treasury management, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and health care-through the support of AFP Honors," said James Graham, executive vice president of treasury management at PNC.
The AFP Honors program will acknowledge this year's recipients in a July/August issue of AFP Exchange magazine and with special ribbons at the 2007 AFP Annual Conference, October 21 through 24, in Boston.
