Volunteers Needed to Help Develop a New FP&A Certification

AFP is seeking qualified subject matter experts to assist in the development of the first certification for the corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) profession.

One group of SMEs already met in early 2012 to develop a practice analysis survey. The results of that survey, which was publicly released in April, were used to develop a test specification, or content outline, for the FP&A examination.

To develop the exam, groups of SMEs will meet to write and review test questions in approximately four to six workshops over the next eight months.

SMEs who participate in as few as one meeting may be awarded the credential when it is launched. AFP will pay for travel expenses to the workshops. SMEs who hold the CTP credential also are eligible for recertification credits.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Stacy Saul at ssaul@afponline.org to request an SME questionnaire.
