Union Bank of California Among Leaders in Bank Relationship Management
Bethesda, MD—October 10, 2005—The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) announced today that Union Bank of California will be recognized as an AFP Service Codes Accredited Provider.
The AFP Service Codes are the industry standard for identifying balances and service charges that appear on bank account analysis statements. The AFP Service Codes Accredited Provider Program was designed to increase standardization in bank reporting and to help companies identify banks that have demonstrated a commitment to meeting their relationship management needs.
“Having our service codes accredited by the AFP further supports our efforts to help customers make more informed treasury decisions when evaluating cash management services for their business." said Alok Ahuja, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Union Bank of California. “We are proud to receive this accreditation from a distinguished industry association such as the AFP.”
Corporate treasury places a premium on the rapid and efficient processing of information. The AFP Service Codes bring efficiency to the management of bank compensation by facilitating automated reviews of account analysis statements.
"We commend Union Bank of California for its commitment to improved standardization in bank compensation reporting” said AFP President and CEO Jim Kaitz. “This commitment distinguishes Union Bank of California as a leader in corporate treasury management.”
