KC and the Sunshine Band Set to Keep Attendees Dancin'

Bethesda, MD – November 4, 2004 – The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) is pleased to announce The AFP 25th Annual Conference Welcome Reception at PETCO Park in San Diego on Sunday, November 7.

AFP pulls out all the stops for a party at PETCO Park that is certain to get attendees movin’ and groovin’ from the minute they enter the park. Guests will make their way from the San Diego Convention Center to PETCO Park where they will be led by the Marching Aztecs of San Diego State University. The marching band will then parade attendees to the field at PETCO Park.

PNC Bank, member of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., is the co-sponsor this year of AFP Conference Welcome Reception. PNC staff will officially greet attendees as they enter PETCO Park. Awaiting attendees on the field will be a variety of food, beverages and the Padres own “Pad Squad”. This team will welcome guests in true Padre fashion shooting t-shirts and other souvenirs from the main stage.

For adventurous attendees, interactive activities including a bungee trampoline, bungee run, and surf simulator will be on hand. And for those who like to keep their feet on the ground, a concert that will take you back say, 25 years will keep those feet dancin’! KC and the Sunshine Band is set to erupt on the main stage with the sounds of the seventies.

The evening promises to be a fun and exciting start to three full days of networking, education, and career development for thousands of treasury and finance professionals. As the evening draws to a close, the skies above PETCO Park will light up with a fireworks display that will leave everyone cheering.
