Association for Financial Professionals and Fiserv CBS Worldwide Announce Licensing Agreement to Provide 2004 AFP Service Codes

BETHESDA, MD — MARCH 22, 2004 – The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) and Fiserv CBS Worldwide announced that they have reached an agreement that will allow CBS Worldwide to include the 2004 AFP Service Codes in its CAMplus (Commercial Analysis Module) product.

The AFP Service Codes, formerly the TMA Service Codes, are the industry standard for identifying balances and service charges that appear on bank account analysis statements.

By providing the AFP Service Codes to its CAMplus customers, CBS Worldwide will help these financial institutions compete for commercial banking customers, which often require account analysis statements to manage their complex banking relationships. In addition to the information that will be embedded in the CAMplus application, all CAMplus customers will receive the 2004 AFP Service Codes CD-ROM, which includes a searchable glossary of AFP Service Codes. CBS Worldwide is the only provider of account analysis software that is licensed to include the AFP Service Codes in its applications.

“We are pleased that an industry-leading organization like Fiserv CBS Worldwide recognizes the value the AFP Service Codes can provide in managing commercial banking relationships,” AFP President and CEO Jim Kaitz said. “By including these codes in its software, CBS Worldwide has demonstrated its commitment to helping financial institutions meet the needs of business customers.”

CAMplus was introduced on January 1, 2004. The module enables financial institutions to define competitive analysis service charge products. These products feature extensive service tracking, exclusive fee pricing options and unique waive rule criteria. Equipped with the latest commercial analysis features for combined relationship pricing and analysis, this module complies with the AFP standard for analysis service tracking and statement format.

CAMplus options for repricing or discounting at the account level offer the necessary features to retain clients and accommodate special client requests. Service charge modeling components are included for “what if” analysis of pricing changes on existing account sets (using actual account service activity) and for potential customers, enabling preparation of a prospect analysis statement. CAMplus is fully integrated with the CBS product.

According to Greg Green, COO for Fiserv CBS Worldwide, the product represents the close relationship the company enjoys with its clients, and, as such, is a high priority.

“We developed CAMplus with a number of our clients through our Joint Application Development program and, therefore, it is a product that is very important to us. The inclusion of the AFP Service Codes will create more value for our clients and give them more and critical information in managing their customer relationships,” Green said.
