Association for Financial Professionals Names Schub Managing
Director, Pension & Investment Policy BETHESDA, MD -- JUNE 14, 2001
-- Judy Schub has joined the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP)
as managing director, pension and investment policy. In this role, Schub oversees
the development and management of the activities of AFP's affiliate, the Committee
on Investment of Employee Benefit Assets (CIEBA), and the association's overall
activities in the area of pension-related public policy. In addition, she is responsible
for increasing the visibility of CIEBA, advancing the interests of CIEBA and AFP
members in pension/investment policy, and acting as the liaison to government
agencies, Congressional committees and other associations. Schub has more
than 25 years of experience in public policy and governmental relations. Most
recently, she was assistant executive director for the Pension Benefit Guaranty
Corporation in Washington, D.C., where she coordinated legislative and intergovernmental
relations. Previously, she was the senior economic lobbyist at AARP, and director
of public policy at the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's
Clubs, Inc. "Judy's policy and legislative expertise will benefit AFP and
CIEBA members' concerns of pension and investment issues," said Jim Kaitz, AFP's
president and CEO. "Her strong skills in direct lobbying, coalition building and
grassroots advocacy will assure the voices of our members are heard." Schub
holds a B.A. from Harpur College, Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY, and
an M.A. from The George Washington University. The Association for Financial
Professionals in Bethesda, Maryland, formerly the Treasury Management Association
has grown in the past 20 years into a community of more than 14,000 individuals
representing a broad spectrum of financial disciplines. AFP turns knowledge into

research, continuing education, career development, professional certifications,
publications, representation to key legislators and regulators, and the development
