At the recent CTC Corporate Treasurers Forum in New York, Jean Furter, Vice President, Treasurer, Brocade Communications Systems Inc. explained how his treasury department develops and retains talent.
A major point of discussion at the recent CTC Corporate Treasurers Forum was career development in treasury and how it can lead to roles outside the treasury group. However, a good case can be made to remain in treasury. Attendees weighed the pros and cons of both options.
When you gather more than a dozen treasury executives in a room it should come as no surprise to learn what they discuss: a mixture of evergreen challenges and the latest trends. That was the case when the newly-formed AFP Treasury Advisory Group met recently in Columbus, Ohio.
A panel comprised of recruiters and outplacement folks recently offered their thoughts on top concerns from a career perspective among surveyed CFOs. The panel discussed networking, what companies are looking for in their next CFO hire, and fractional CFO services.
Financial planning and analysis professionals who want to stand above the competition now have a new way to do so: The FP&A certification beta exam will open for registration August 15.
