This month, registration opened for the FP&A certification beta exam. Candidates must meet the educational and experience requirements before earning the credential, but can take the exam before meeting that criteria. The test taking window runs February 1, 2014 through March 31, 2014. Also this month, Futures in Finance speaks with several practitioners about the expanded role of treasury today. Financial planning and analysis professionals who want to stand above the competition have a new way to do so. The FP&A Certification beta exam is now open for registration.
Economic optimism is improving among CFOs, prompting them to hire more employees, according to a new survey. Fully 61 percent of CFOs plan to hire within the next six months, while employee compensation is expected to increase 3.5 percent.
While it is common knowledge that treasurers gained more of a voice with the C-suite following the 2008 financial crisis, some practitioners feel that voice has diminished to an extent. At a recent event, AFP spoke with three practitioners on the expanded role of treasury today.
