Michèle Allman-Ward, CTP, CertICM
Managing Partner, Allman-Ward Associates, Inc.

Michèle Allman-Ward, Managing Partner, established Allman-Ward Associates, Inc. in 1996 The company specializes in strategic planning, product and business unit development, training, project management and market research with particular emphasis on international treasury management.

Ms. Allman-Ward is highly regarded in the cash management industry and is in demand globally as a speaker at conferences and a contributor to professional publications. Ms. Allman-Ward has 20+ years banking experience includes senior positions with J.P. Morgan, Bankers Trust, Bank of Boston and Wells Fargo. Professional accreditations include Certified Cash Manager (CCM) which was granted in 1986 and she accepted the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification in 2003. In 1999 Michèle obtained her Certificate in International Cash Management (CertICM) qualification (with distinction) from the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) in the U.K.

Michèle is the author of several books including "International Cash Management" the manual used by the ACT in their certification program.

 

 Jacquel K. Clark, CTP
VP and Treasurer, The JRC Group, Inc.

Jacquel K. Clark is currently the Vice President and Treasurer for The JRC Group, Inc., a financial services consulting firm. Upon her retirement from Hughes Supply, Inc. in 2006, she was the Vice President, Treasurer and Assistant Secretary. She and her team were responsible for such treasury issues as cash management, financial analysis, strategic planning and corporate governance.

Ms. Clark has more than 30 years of business experience including the operation of a small business, accounting, auditing, negotiation of financing instruments and interest rate hedging products, proxy statement preparation, NYSE and SEC compliance filings, automation of accounting and planning financial processes and designing training curricula to support the new processes. She has an MBA and BA in Accounting from Stetson University, has completed course study in Strategic Management, and is a Certified Treasury Professional and a Certified Business Professional.

 

Larry De Palma, CTP
CEO, TDG-Phenix, Inc.

Larry De Palma is President and CEO of TDG Phenix, Inc., a services and consulting firm focused on banking, treasury and payments. His career history includes 3 years at Chase Paymentech, one of the nation's leading payment processors, where he managed a 130 million item ACH and electronic check product, and built and managed the Paymentech PINless debit product. In his spare time, he worked on launching the Shell gift card program, one of the largest gift card system conversions ever seen in the industry. Before Chase Paymentech, he spent 7 years in the Treasury Services division at JPMorgan Chase, where he worked extensively with the Chase Insight treasury workstation product, was global training manager, and managed the Chase Trader foreign exchange product. Mr. De Palma traveled around the world training Chase clients and internal colleagues on the various Chase cash management products.

A Certified Treasury Professional, Mr. De Palma has presented at numerous NACHA events, AFP events and regional payment association conferences. He has authored articles for Digital Transactions and Transaction World magazines, and has been quoted in American Banker, Los Angeles Business Journal and the Bloomington Times.

 

Michael Hunstad, PhD
Adjunct Professor of Mathematical Optimization, Illinois Institute of Technology

Formerly a Principal with Treasury Strategies and head of their cash forecasting practice area, Dr. Hunstad has spent the last decade analyzing data and building models for finance and treasury across a wide range of industries. He is an active researcher in analytic forecasting methods and has published more than 20 articles and papers on forecasting and data analysis related issues. He currently teaches at the Illinois Institute of Technology as adjunct professor of mathematical optimization and works as a senior quantitative researcher with Allstate Investments. Dr. Hunstad received his Ph.D. in mathematical modeling from the Illinois Institute of Technology, an MBA in finance from Purdue University and a BS in economics from Northern State University.

 

Mark J. Krawczyk, CTP
Principal, CZYK & Associates

Mark Krawczyk has over thirty-five years of management experience spanning two centuries in banking, corporate finance, treasury operations and human resources. Mark is the principal and owner of his own firm, CZYK & Associates. Through his company, Mark provides consulting, training and professional speaking services to clients around the country.

Mr. Krawczyk is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), has twice served on the Board of Directors of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), and serves as a faculty member for the Graduate School of Banking at LSU in Baton Rouge. He is a frequent seminar and conference keynote speaker as an expert in treasury management, financial operations and change management issues across the country.

Mr. Krawczyk received both his undergraduate degree and MBA from Oklahoma State University.

 

James C. Lam
President, James Lam & Associates

Mr. Lam has over twenty years of experience in risk and business management. He is widely noted as the first ever "chief risk officer" and an early advocate of enterprise risk management. Previously, Mr. Lam served as Partner of Oliver Wyman, Founder and President of ERisk, Chief Risk Officer of Fidelity Investments, and Chief Risk Officer of FGIC Capital Markets Services, Inc., a GE Capital company. His work has been profiled as best practice in case studies published by The Economist, Price Waterhouse Review, and Risk Magazine.

Mr. Lam graduated summa cum laude with a BBA from Baruch College (1983), and has an MBA with honors from UCLA (1989). He was appointed a senior research fellow at Beijing University in 2004. Mr. Lam has lectured at Harvard Business School as the subject of a HBS case study, and has taught graduate-level courses in risk management and advanced derivatives at Babson College as an adjunct professor of finance.

 

Dubos J. Masson, PhD, CTP, CertICM
Clinical Professor, Finance, Kelley School of Business

Dr. D.J. Masson is President of The Resource Alliance, and over the past 25 years, has been providing business and financial consulting and training services to a wide variety of corporations, financial institutions, and not-for-profit organizations in the U.S. and abroad. In addition, Dr. Masson has served on the faculty of several universities, and is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Finance at Indiana University's Kelly School of Business. Dr. Masson is a frequent conference speaker on a variety of financial, treasury management, and electronic commerce topics and is the author of numerous articles and such financial textbooks as Treasurer's Handbook of Financial Management, Essentials of Cash Management and Essentials of Treasury Management.

Dr. Masson holds an MBA and Ph.D. in Finance from Indiana University and professional certifications in cash/treasury management from both U.S. and UK treasury associations.

 

David L. O'Brien, CTP
Vice President, Enlightening Enterprises, Inc.

David O'Brien, CTP, is a consultant in Treasury with expertise in global cash management, forecasting, investments, debt, foreign exchange and working capital management. Prior to establishing his consultancy, he held positions in corporate Treasury with EDS Corp., Fidelity Investments, and, Holiday Inns.

Mr. O'Brien is a frequent speaker at events sponsored by Regional Treasury Associations, the Association for Financial Professionals, the Association of Corporate Treasurers and EuroFinance. He is a past Chairman of the Association for Financial Professionals and serves on the associations' Conference Committee.

Mr. O'Brien holds a BA from University of Richmond, an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University and the CTP certification from the AFP.

 

George A. Schilling, CTP
Principal, Schilling & Associates

George Schilling, is Principal of Schilling & Associates; a training/consulting firm specializing in treasury management, corporate finance, and project management training. He is a former Assistant Treasurer of Chevron USA where he directed and coordinated nationwide treasury operations. Mr. Schilling serves on Association for Financial Professionals Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) review faculty, has served on the Institute of Management Accountants faculty for professional development, is a member of the American Management Association faculty, and is a Past President of the San Francisco Treasury Management Association. He is a frequent platform speaker at national and regional conferences and is the author of User-Friendly Finance an operationally oriented training program designed for non-financial professionals.

Mr. Schilling received his MBA from Golden Gate University and has completed postgraduate work in financial management at Stanford University.

 

Jim Washam, PhD, CTP
Associate Dean and Director of Undergraduate Programs, College of Business, Arkansas State University

Dr. Washam serves as Associate Dean, Director of Undergraduate Programs, and a member of the Finance faculty at Arkansas State University. His primary teaching areas include corporate finance, fixed income markets, cash management, and international financial markets.

Dr. Washam is a Certified Treasury Professional and has served as Vice President of the Mid South Association for Financial Professionals. He has served the national AFP as a member of the Pinnacle Award committee, a CCM hotline volunteer, and as a member of the AFP's CCM Review and CME faculty. Dr. Washam holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Mississippi.
