April24 and 25, 2012 1:00-3:00 PM ET each day (total of 4 hours) Financial Planning and Analysis is composed of three fundamental planning processes—strategic, operating/financial, and forecasting—and the analysis of actual performance relative to those plans.
Corporations have long had a tendency to produce these three sets of plans in isolation, which ultimately results in a breakdown—a de-linking of corporate plans from core business processes and activities. Learn best practices to integrate the base planning processes and ensure that each is action-oriented and performance-based. |

April 10, and April 17, 2012 1:00 - 3:00 PM ET(each day)
Rolling forecasts have the potential to provide one of the most significant sources of value for global organizations. Why? Because the capabilities supporting fully integrated forecasting processes are the same ones enabling organizations to achieve aspirations of being more flexible, responsive, innovative, cost effective and customer-focused. Rolling forecasts can take many forms. Some believe it to be a replacement for annual budgeting processes, but collapsing budgeting into a meaningful monthly forecasting process is proving easier said than done, especially in global organizations. What’s being discovered is that they can’t achieve sufficient strategic, financial and operational integration to make such a process effective. This seminar provides a blueprint for establishing such a process. Learning Objectives:
This seminar will provide participants with the following insights: - Examine an integrated rolling forecast and understand the incremental capabilities it has that organizations typically lack
- Learn how the process supports scenario planning and enables organizations to simultaneously evaluate the impact of decisions on segment profitability, cash flow, income / value added tax, foreign currency, working capital, inventory and project ROI
- Understand how the process exposes risks in supply chains, product, customer and project investment portfolios
- Learn how these incremental capabilities address issues that undermine the effectiveness of, and value realized from, investments in ERP, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Performance Management and Sales & Operations Planning
- Explore new technologies that enable this process and how they can be used with the above applications to operationalize it
- Determine how these breakthrough improvements provide the means to create significant and specific sources of value
- Learn to implement these processes
