Career Trust Service

For AFP Members

Overview
Career Trust offers AFP members who are between positions a dues suspension during a period of unemployment, for up to one full membership year. Members will be retained as associate members.

Career Trust members will continue to receive all AFP member benefits. Those benefits of particular interest include the Online Job Center, resume critiquing, and information such as the AFP Annual Compensation Survey and online salary calculator.

All AFP members are eligible.

Scholarships
Career Trust members are eligible to be considered for an AFP Annual Conference registration fee waiver. Recipients are evaluated in areas such as length of membership, conferences and seminars attended, and volunteer service. If you would like to be considered for a conference registration fee waiver, please indicate so on your Career Trust application. (Waived fees do not cover the cost of transportation and lodging).

Qualifications
Applicants for Career Trust must have been an AFP member the previous calendar year and agree to remit dues to re-establish paid membership status should he become re-employed during the Career Trust membership year. Career Trust is a one-time only benefit.

For Non-AFP Members

Overview
Career Trust allows non-members to join AFP for a discounted rate of $75.00 during a period of unemployment. New Career Trust members are eligible to receive all AFP member benefits. Benefits of interest include the Online Job Center, resume critiquing, AFP Annual Compensation Survey, and the online salary calculator.

All memberships expire at the end of the calendar year. New members joining after March 31 are eligible for a dues credit toward the following membership year.

Qualifications
To qualify for Career Trust, professionals applying must be between positions. New members agree to submit remaining dues amount to establish full membership status should they become re-employed during the discounted membership year. Career Trust is a one-time only benefit.
