Liquidity is one of the primary sources of financial risk to be managed within the treasury function, yet few treasury departments develop, maintain and complete accurate and comprehensive cash forecasts. We will discuss the current state of cash forecasting across three different industries and describe the specific issues each faces in managing people, processes and technology to produce an effective cash flow forecast that positively impacts the bottom line.
