This session will detail the success story of the 2008 Pinnacle Award Risk Category winner, Belk Inc. Facing sky rocketing workers compensation costs and general liability exposure, Belk invoked a new safety culture across more than 28,000 employees at more than 300 stores enabling it to reduce customer general liability claims by 95 percent, associate workers' compensation losses by 65 percent, and casualty premium rates by 50 percent all in the face of four acquisitions.
