Award Programs

AFP promotes excellence in treasury and finance through several recognition and award programs:

AFP Pinnacle Award

The AFP Pinnacle Award is presented annually to organizations whose finance and treasury professionals have developed innovative solutions to address efficiency, risk management and, ultimately, success.

The Pinnacle Award recognizes the best of the best in treasury and finance from the past year. This year, sponsored with Wachovia Corporation, the program will present awards in three timely categories - Innovation: Leading Innovation in Treasury and Finance, Strategy: Treasury as a Strategic Partner, and Risk: Advanced Risk Management Methodologies. Judges then select a grand prize winner from those three honorees. As part of the grand prize, Wachovia will make a $10,000 donation to a charity on behalf of the grand prize winner.

AFP Honors
The highly acclaimed AFP Honors, sponsored by PNC for 2007, recognizes excellence in finance and treasury. In its fourth year, the program (formerly AFP 300) has continued to grow, particularly at the senior level, making the selection process even more rigorous than in years past. This significant industry recognition distinguishes a select group of corporate practitioners at the top of their profession, who are chosen from a list of 100,000 by senior AFP staff. The AFP Honors Program is based on strict criteria which include meeting professional qualifications, career growth, membership in AFP, and certifications such as the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or the Certified Cash Manager designation-the CTP is a seal of approval for setting a high standard of excellence in the financial profession.

AFP Treasurer of the Year Award
The AFP Treasurer of the Year Award recognizes the treasurer who best exemplifies integrity, leadership, innovation, strategic thinking and advocating for the profession. This award, sponosred by Citi in 2007, is presented annually at the AFP Global Corporate Treasurers Forum.

Other ways to be recognized for thought leadership:
You can gain recognition for your company by submitting article ideas and case studies to AFP’s editors via Exchange@AFPonline.org. AFP may be able to help you craft a magazine article to spotlight your company’s achievements. Topics should be appropriate for a high-level financial audience, especially in the areas of treasury management, payments, risk management, corporate finance, financial accounting and reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley implementation, bank relationship management, etc.
