These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Association for Financial Professionals ("AFP" and "the Association") Web site ("Site" and "the Site"). Please read all information carefully. By using this Web site, Users agree to be bound by these Terms. The Site is available for your use only on the condition that you agree to the terms of use set forth below. If you do not agree to all of the Terms, do not access or use the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you and any entity you are authorized to represent signify your agreement to be bound by the Terms. You should periodically review these Terms as AFP may revise them from time to time as may be necessary.

Subject to the terms and conditions herein, and your compliance with them, AFP grants to you a limited and revocable non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and display this Website, all software, text, graphics, logos, images, design elements, Content, and all other information and materials contained in this Website (collectively, “AFP Materials”). Except as otherwise expressly authorized by these Terms or as expressly permitted by AFP in writing, you may not copy, reproduce, download, disseminate, publish, frame, mirror, transfer, modify, sell, create derivative works from, upload, transmit, or distribute the Intellectual Property, Content, AFP Materials, and Marks of the Site in any way, in any form or by any means, without AFP's or the appropriate third party's prior written permission. Except as expressly provided herein, AFP does not grant to you any express or implied rights to AFP's or any third party's Intellectual Property, AFP Materials, Content, and/or Marks. You may not use any meta tags or other hidden text using AFP’s name or any AFP Material without AFP’s prior written consent.

Use of Website

In using the Website you agree not to:
a. disrupt or interfere with the security of, or otherwise abuse, the Website or any AFP Material, or any services, system resources, accounts, servers, or networks connected to or accessible through the Website or any AFP Material, or affiliated or linked websites;

Member Section

Portions of the Website are available only to certain members of AFP. Unless you are a current member whose membership level entitles you to access, you are not authorized to view the AFP Member areas. Unauthorized entry is prohibited and subject to prosecution under the laws of the United States and its states and possessions. Each member is assigned a user name and password for that member’s sole use in accessing the AFP Member portion of the Website. If you are an AFP member with access to the restricted portions of the Website, you agree not to allow others to access the AFP Member portion using your user name and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account and are fully responsible for all activities which occur under your username and password. You agree to pay all fees and charges incurred in connection with your username and password in effect at the time such fees and charges are incurred. You agree to immediately notify AFP of any unauthorized use of your username and password or of any other breach of security.

AFP is providing materials and Content on this Site for informational purposes only. AFP Collaborate

AFP Collaborate (“Site”) is a community platform owned and sponsored by the Association for Financial Professionals, Inc. (“AFP”) for use by AFP members to express their ideas, share ideas and information and shall be used exclusively as a community collaboration and networking tool. General

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in Montgomery County, Maryland, U.S.A. in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Site. Use of this Site is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including without limitation to this paragraph. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and AFP as a result of this agreement or use of this Site. AFP's performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of AFP's right to comply with governmental, court and law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of this Site or information provided to or gathered by AFP with respect to such use.
