• CIBC, Rogers Introduce NFC-Enabled Mobile Payments in Canada Hot on the heels of the Canadian Bankers Association's release of mobile payments standards for Canada, CIBC and Rogers Communications announced their intentions to launch a joint mobile payments service. Starting later this year, Canadians will be able to make credit card purchases with their smartphones via NFC technology.
