1. Industrial production and manufacturing expanded in January, but the automobile sector and oil & gas extraction both suffered from slowdowns.
2. Housing starts slipped but remained near post-recession highs in January, while weather conditions chilled homebuilder sentiment in the Midwest.
3. Producer prices experienced their largest post-recession drop in January, with declines for energy, food and core goods.
