The Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)

CTP
By successfully meeting the rigorous certification examination requirements, these individuals have joined a community of over 19,000 professionals worldwide who have earned this distinguished certification.

As CTPs, these individuals are prepared to lead the treasury and finance profession in pursuit of excellence, having demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of corporate treasury management, pledged to meeting continuing education requirements to keep their knowledge current, and just as importantly, committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, of which their employers, colleagues and clients will be the true beneficiaries.

CTPA
We recognize the accomplishments of these full-time students who successfully completed the Corporate Treasury Management program at their college/university and passed the CTP exam to earn the Certified Treasury Professional Associate credential. After working full-time for a minimum of two years in finance/treasury/accounting and earning continuing education credits, they will be eligible to transition to the prestigious CTP credential.

The Value of the CTP

The CTP sets the standard in the financial profession and is a symbol of excellence. It signifies that an individual has demonstrated the knowledge and skills required to perform competently in today's complex treasury environment.

As a result of recent changes in corporate America, treasury and finance professionals face more public scrutiny than ever before. They must now demonstrate a mastery of risk management, capital structure, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance, in addition to cash management topics. With the CTP designation, AFP recognizes the significant increase in knowledge required of treasury professionals on the job.
