Executive Director: Ms. Deborah Forbes

Deborah has more than two decades experience as an ERISA attorney, with a particular specialization in retirement legislative issues. Prior to joining CIEBA in 2011 as Executive Director, she held positions in both the federal government and private practice. Deborah served as Pension Counsel to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, and was Senior Legislative and Policy Counsel at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Prior to joining PBGC, she was an associate attorney with Covington & Burling and a law clerk at the U.S. Tax Court. Before becoming an attorney, Deborah worked as an auditor for Price Waterhouse and the Securities Exchange Commission. Deborah, a certified public accountant, holds B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from George Mason University and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School.

Public Policy Coordinator: Mr. Macpherson Carroll

Prior to joining CIEBA, Mac worked with the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence where he assisted the Federal Legislative, Communications, and Research Departments. Mac received his A.B. in Economics from Kenyon College, with minors in Art History and Classics.
