AFP of Canada Welcomes TMAC Regina

The Association for Financial Professionals of Canada (AFPC) welcomes the Regina chapter of Treasury Management Association of Canada (TMAC). The Regina chapter recently voted to become a regional partner under the name AFP of Canada-Regina.

"I would like to welcome AFP of Canada-Regina, our newest regional partner," said Kerry Biggs, Treasurer of GCT Inc. and Chairman of the AFP of Canada Board of Directors.  "All of us at the AFP of Canada look forward to working alongside our new regional partner in Regina as we strive to provide Canadian treasury and finance professionals with the products and services they need."

AFP of Canada-Regina joins the Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver regional partners.

"Just looking at the resources AFP of Canada brings to both our membership and our chapter, it was a match for what we were looking for," said Dave Holzapfel, President of AFP of Canada-Regina."We're really excited about it. When we came around to making the decision, it was well-received. We can fill-in those gaps where we were lacking, like education programs, industry newsletters and various webinars; those types of resources are what AFP will bring to our members."

In addition to their association with AFP’s global brand, regional partners participate in the annual AFP Regional Officers Meeting in Washington, DC. AFP of Canada-Regina joins 63 regional associations throughout North America and the Caribbean currently partnering with AFP.

Based in Toronto, the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) of Canada is the preferred global resource and advocate for financial professionals in Canada. Its mandate is to raise the stature and visibility of its members through a proven brand of products and services, under the direction of a distinguished board of directors from a wide range of Canadian industries.

The Society of Canadian Treasurers (SCT) is the senior networking branch of AFP of Canada for treasurers or those with senior treasury or finance responsibilities from Canadian companies, crown corporations, governmental departments, and non-profit organizations with revenues in excess of $100 million CAD.
