BETHESDA, MARYLAND – November 21, 2012 – The
Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), the professional society for
corporate treasurers, CFOs and their staff, has tapped Nilly Essaides, a
20-year veteran of the global treasury management arena, to be Director-Practitioner
Content Development. Essaides brings over 20 years of experience in treasury
management research, content development and meeting moderation to AFP’s global
offerings.
“Nilly Essaides
has been a leading voice in the treasury management community on issues ranging
from corporate liquidity to financial risk management to treasury
organizational structure,” said Jim Kaitz, AFP’s president and CEO. “AFP
members will benefit from her deep understanding of the issues that truly
matter to financial professionals around the world.”
The hire culminates three years of executive level
consulting for AFP, where Essaides led roundtable discussions, authored AFP’s
Corporate Treasurers Council in-depth guides, and produced a frequent column
for AFP Exchange magazine.
Previously, Essaides was managing director at the
NeuGroup, where she pioneered the company’s peer group model, was instrumental
in launching new groups, and served as long-time editor of the International Treasurer publication. She
has also worked for The Economist Intelligence Unit and The Thomson Corporation.
“In my years
of collaborating with AFP, I have been continuously impressed by the association’s
integrity and its deep commitment to its member community,” Essaides said. “I
am proud to join the AFP team and look forward to continued close interaction
with AFP members and other finance leaders.”
