Summary

AFP is offering its members a comprehensive checklist for Treasury’s role in Mergers and Acquisitions from the acquirer’s perspective.  The checklist will help serve as a roadmap to consider different areas that could impact treasury throughout the due diligence and integration phases.  Many times Treasury and finance departments are brought into the process depending on how a company operates their acquisition process and this checklist will serve as a guide to help navigate that process. Furthermore, this checklist should help alleviate some of the burden treasury department’s face in making sure they’ve met and mitigated their concerns around the uncertainty of collecting important information.
